Ready for your next challenge? Do you want to learn something new and grow? Are you ready for less physical work and less time pressure, with fixed start and finish times? And would you like to be paid according to pay scale E? Do you think Schenk is a great company to work for? We would like to meet you! After an interview in Papendrecht, you’ll have a clear understanding of Schenk and the details of your potential new job.
We have vacancies for drivers of fuels and cryogenic and/or industrial gases at various locations. Depending on where you live, you can work as a tanker driver transporting one of these products. Schenk works seven days a week, so part-time opportunities are sometimes available. Are you the professional driver who wants to do this quality work and is looking for a long-term partnership?
A tanker driver enjoys responsibility, likes to follow procedures (operator work) and is an experienced defensive driver. Don’t forget the administrative side. An interest in technology is an advantage. You will start work in the morning around 05:30/06:00 and you will work for about 10 to 12 hours.
What does the job involve?
Before you go out on your own, a mentor driver will teach you everything you need to know to safely transport (motor) fuels and/or gases during an intensive training period of an average of 3-4 weeks full-time.
As an ADR tanker driver, you will visit various locations for our customers; petrol stations, industrial companies, specialist companies or the glass industry, hospitals and/or laboratories or the construction industry. If you join us to transport tank containers, the port of Rotterdam will be your destination.
As a tanker driver, you have to agree with the statement: ‘Either we do the job safely or we don’t’. Schenk makes sure that you have enough support to do your job professionally and safely. Your team leader, your Schenk planner, the customer’s planner and your colleagues are there for you.
