August 2019: When you enter the "new" head office in Papendrecht, you enter a completely different office. Where the showroom used to be, the receptionist now welcomes you directly from behind the new reception desk with behind it the beautiful meter-high and wide photo of a white Schenk tank truck in Botlek by night. The glass doors and walls on the left and right side of the reception create a pleasant, spacious feeling. The stylish color combinations used in the office and meeting rooms create a pleasant working environment. In short, the 28-year-old headquarters is like new!

According to plan
The renovation took place entirely according to plan between January and August 2019. Construction workers replaced all window frames, provided the outside with new anthracite gray siding, painters painted the outside of the building in the house style colors and inside the head office, builders renovated the entire ground floor with the result: the necessary additional office and meeting space, a new driver's canteen, new showers for the drivers and various toilet groups.

Whether, was there not a single dissonance? No actually not. Everything went smoothly, except for a small delay in the delivery of the window frames - which ultimately had no impact on achieving the deadline - and a leak. This is a credit to all parties involved in this metamorphosis!

Spacious and light offices
The move took place on the first August weekend: approximately 70 employees were being relocated, approximately 60 desks and 170 moving boxes to be moved. The ICT department did a good job; everyone could just start Monday, August 5 from the new workplace!
Many departments have made progress. The planning departments (excluding Intermodal that keep office at P3), the fleet management department, the QHSSE department and the reception now occupy the ground floor in the new office environment. Also the HR and IT department have moving forward, respectively by sitting together now and having the much needed extra space. The general experiences of colleagues are positive; the spacious and light offices are experienced as very pleasant. And the drivers are happy with their new shower rooms and canteen.
